Nextplay / Legal
Cookie Policy
Last updated: 27 October 2026
Nextplay uses the following cookies to make the Steam sign-in and your account session work. They are necessary for features you request and are not used for advertising.
Cookies used by Nextplay
steam_openid_state
A short-lived security value that links a Steam sign-in response to the sign-in request. It is set when you start Steam sign-in and expires after 10 minutes.
wtpn_session
A signed session value that keeps you signed in to your Nextplay account. It expires after 30 days and is cleared when you sign out.
Both cookies are marked HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax; on the live HTTPS website they are also marked Secure. They are used under the exception for storage strictly necessary to provide a service you expressly request (Section 25(2) TDDDG). Related personal-data processing is explained in the Privacy Policy.
Analytics and third-party websites
Vercel Web Analytics is used for aggregated usage measurement and does not use third-party tracking cookies. Nextplay does not currently set optional advertising or personalization cookies. Following a link to Steam or another third-party site may result in that site using its own cookies under its own policy.
Your browser controls
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the necessary cookies will prevent Steam sign-in or keeping your Nextplay session active. For questions, contact k.konrad@xthink-strategy.de.
